Alejandro NiemannJanuary 7, 2003 ~ October 29, 2018 (age 15)
Alejandro attended Cheyenne Mountain Charter Academy through 6th grade. He attended Liberty High School and was currently a student at Aspen Valley High School.
From an early age Alejandro loved creating things with wood. He enjoyed taking nails and hammering into the wood and stringing thread and creating abstract designs. He had an imagination that would reach to the clouds. He would create things and tell me stories of his projects. As he got older, and discovered Legos, he generated a passion for Legos that opened a whole new dimension of his imagination. He would spend hours on end building, constructing, and designing things that were incredible. Even until today, Alejandro’s Legos designs would leave you speechless. Alejandro’s true passion and love of life was his music. He tries his hand at saxophone, violin, and the piano, nothing compared to his love for guitar. From the ripe age of three, he would pluck his tiny fingers through the strings, and began making music. His basic guitar lessons, turned himself into a self-taught teacher for his passion. He played his guitar every day, his techniques of strumming, piking, plucking, and shredding transformed into songs which he composed into these soft, romantic, melancholy music, that would leave you breathless. Alejandro composed several songs, I remember hearing one for the first time from the other room. I went to him and asked “What song is that? I’ve never heard it before.” I explained to him how it grabbed my heart and told him it was so beautiful. He said that it was his song, he played it often and shared it with friends. His songs will forever remain in his soul and the beauty of who he is. Alejandro’s dream was to start his own band, and become a musician. Alejandro was well liked and loved by everyone he encountered in life.
