Welcome to the memorial page for

Angela Kay Antonsen

March 5, 1939 ~ June 27, 2018 (age 79)

Kay went to be with the Lord surrounded by her family, on June 27, 2018. Her family was blessed to usher her into heaven.
She was born March 5, 1939 in Swainsboro, GA to Maurine and Stephen Horton. Her childhood was filled with many happy memories. She grew up with strong values and was surrounded by family that supported and loved her.
Kay was a spirited, passionate, and funny person. She was always positive and loving, wanting to know how YOU were doing. Her faith was her center, the fabric and very core of who she was, and she wanted everyone to know about the love Jesus had for each and every one of us. An evangelist at heart, her desire was that no one walk away without knowing the hope to which we were called. She relentlessly studied the Bible and if you had a question about something, she could answer it. She was a prayer warrior and an intercessor of the faith.
Her family meant everything to her and she always wanted everyone to be included. Her grandchildren lovingly called her Nana Kay and were blessed to have a strong woman of faith at the helm. Lots of prayers were sent up to heaven over her grandchildren!
Kay was an active volunteer in prison ministry, Focus on the Family, hospital patient care, crisis hot lines, and helped start a prayer ministry supporting local police officers and fire fighters. She participated in short-term missions trips to Ukraine. She was an artist, an incredible seamstress and was known to many as the 'quilt lady". She enjoyed quilting, knitting, and crocheting, making everyone in her family a special keepsake. Her talents were many.
Kay was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister, Bonnie. She leaves behind her loving husband, Jack of 58 years; daughters Lori (Marc) Fisher, Lisa (Mark) Brockie, Suzanne (Greg) Hubbard, and Krista (Martin) Payne. Her grandchildren will lovingly miss her: Christopher, Jennifer, Hannah, Matthew, Ashley, Joshua, Regan, Madison, Aiden, and great grandchild, Sean.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations in honor of Kay Antonsen be sent to Life Network/ Colorado Springs Pregnancy Center - 3700 Galley Road, Colorado Springs, CO 80909.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, July 20th at 11:00 a.m. at Church on the Ranch, 3685 Jeannine Drive, Colorado Springs.
"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16
