Betty was born on January 28, 1933 in Arnold, NE to the parents of Donald Klump and Goldie Bertran. Betty met her husband Bob at an Ice Cream Parlor in North Platte, NE. They were married February 14, 1953 in Stapleton, NE. Betty and her husband were stationed at five Naval bases, before settling in Colorado Springs in 1969. Betty retired from Shepard's McGraw Hill. She belonged to Order of the Amaranth and served as Grand Royal Matron. She volunteered for the Retired Enlisted for the bingo sessions. Betty had a love for cards, games, road trips in the motor home, but most of all she had a love for her family that showed in every aspect of her life. She enjoyed countless trips to her cabin near Eleven Mile Reservoir. The cabin was built by her husband and two sons in 1969. Everyone of her grandchildren have some of their fondest childhood memories at the Cabin. The cabin was enjoyed by many extended family members and friends throughout the years. She leaves to cherish her memory sisters Peggy (John) Struwe and Donna Jo Bertran, sister in law Lucy Fairchild, daughters Roberta (Bill) Davis and Pauline (Ken) Orban, son Danny Sanford, twelve Grandchildren Billy (Tara) Davis,  Kelly (Aaron) Fitzhugh, Mindy (Josh) Pierce, Eric Davis, Danny (Sonja) Orban, Jamie (Dale) Smith, Bryan (Sarah) Gaspar, Robert (Melissa) Gaspar, Shannon (Grant) Garvin, Mary (Steve) Caswell, Robert (Erica) Sanford, and Montana (Matt) Prosser.
