Bryan MontoyaJuly 23, 1960 ~ November 17, 2018 (age 58)
Bryan Felix Montoya passed away comfortably in his home in Black Forest, Colorado on Saturday, November 17, 2018. He was 58 years old. Bryan was born in Colorado Springs, Colorado on July 23, 1960 to Felix Joe and Ema Mae (Chavez) Montoya.
Bryan is preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his sisters Cindy Montoya and Rachel Owens-Montoya, his brother Steve Montoya, his son Austin Montoya and his wife Dee Ann Abarca-Montoya.
Bryan was a lifelong resident of Colorado. He grew up in Black Forest with his close knit family including his Uncle Eli and Aunt Flo and beloved cousins. Bryan made his home in Elbert, Colorado for a time where he raised his son Austin. He spent the rest of his days in Black Forest where he met and fell in love with his wife, Dee Ann. He was an avid music enthusiast and “doctor” of music and was an exceptional salesman. He enjoyed cooking, doing things around the house on the weekends and was a fervent writer of letters and poems. He was known for his quick wit, his infectious laugh and his kind, compassionate spirit. All who were blessed to cross paths with Bryan will miss his sense of humor, love for football and nature, and devotion to the ones he cared for. We’re sure he’s dancing and singing in Heaven.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at La Foret Conference and Retreat Center at 11 a.m.
