Edward D. Brown, 77, died in a Pueblo Hospital on December 31, 2019. He was born February 3, 1942 in Topeka, KS to Thelma (Mobely) and Edward D. Brown, Sr., who do not survive.
After graduating HS Ed joined the US Army. His first tour was in Kitzingen, Germany. He met and married his bride, Liane M. Klein, August 18, 1964. His next tour was to Vietnam, then back to Kaiserslautern, Germany. He then served in Korea before returning stateside to retire at Ft. Carson in 1982. While serving he earned numerous medals and commendations, to include the National Defense Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal w/1st Oak Leaf Cluster, Vietnam Service Medal w/3 Bronze Service Stars, Vietnam Campaign Medal w/60 Device and the Vietnam Cross of Gallantry w/Palm, not to mention his Good Conduct Medals and Ribbons.
Ed and Liane stayed in Colorado Springs and he worked at Memorial Hospital for the next 22 years as an Inventory Control Manager; he retired in 2004. He was an avid reader and a history buff. He enjoyed traveling and being outdoors, enjoying nature. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge, being a past Master in Manitou two times and in Ramah. He was also a member of the Kiowa and Monument District Lecturer.
He will be greatly missed by his sole-mate, Liane.
