Welcome to the memorial page for

Hannah Ruth Moffitt

March 4, 2010 ~ December 25, 2019 (age 9)

"Hannah Ruth Moffitt was born on March 4, 2010.  She entered our lives as a surprise and surprised us again when she left on Christmas Day only 9 short years later. During the time that God shared her with us, she loved and enjoyed life to the fullest. Our "Hannah Banana" brought much joy and laughter to our family. She was the youngest, but she often thought that she was "in-charge." Hannah always wanted to "go."  It didn't matter where her mother or I were going or what we were going to do, Hannah always wanted to go with us. I would often tease her at the end of a boring-to-me time of running errands and ask her if she was sorry now that she came.  She would always answer, "No, Daddy. I got to be with you and Mommy."
Hannah loved our animals and was always willing to jump in and help take care of them, whether it was feeding the dogs or cats or helping with the goats and sheep. Even helping to milk them! She also loved it when she was able to help the neighbors with feeding their animals or taking care of their plants. Hannah was a helper. She loved to help people, whether it was here at home or at the neighbors or at church. She was always asking, "Can I help?"
Hannah was a joyful little girl. She bounced and ran everywhere! And we might be prejudiced, but if you've never been on the receiving end of a smile from her, then you haven't truly experienced the power of a smile.
Hannah's name means "Grace of God." She was an unexpected and somewhat unwanted gift of God's grace in a difficult time in our lives.  She was certainly very much a surprise! Then, after we had gotten to know and love God's wonderful gift of grace to us, He took her back and said "Look at Me, the Gift-Giver. I am even more wonderful than the gift I shared with you for a short time." And so, we as a family are looking through our tears and our sorrow at the great and wonderful God who gives the best and greatest gifts, because He is even better than any gift.  We ask you to look with us at the "Giver of all good things" and rejoice with us that He is good and gracious in all that He does.
Hannah knew Jesus as her personal Savior and is now with Him in heaven. While we sorrow here, we rejoice that she is with her Creator, One who loves her even more than we do.
