Mary Ann Keehn, 73, of Woodland Park, CO, passed away on November 30th, 2018 from complications of a stroke, in Colorado Springs, CO.
Funeral service will be held at 116 S. West St, Woodland Park, CO 80863 on Friday, December 7th at 12:00pm with Rev. Dr. Timothy of Our Lady of the Woods officiating.
Mary Ann was born in Hannibal, MO to Willis and Mary Jane Winkler on September 27, 1945. She went to high school at Scared Heart in Waseca, MN and graduated in the class of 1963. Her career started out as a surgical technician at St. Mary’s Hospital and then Olmstead County Hospital. Four years after graduating high school, Mary Ann married Donald once he returned from Viet-Nam and had three children.
Mary Ann is the oldest of six daughters which may explain her love of taking care of others, and cooking. For several years Mary Ann was an in -home caregiver, and before her aneursm she worked in the restaurant business. Starting out as a server, then cooking and eventually managing The Brazenhead.
Mary Ann is survived by her husband Donald Keehn of Woodland Park, her mother Mary Jane Winkler of Colorado Springs, Sarah and Charles McAleer of Woodland Park, Shawn and Rachel Keehn of Woodland Park, her three grandchildren Brady McAleer, Charlie McAleer, and Laila Keehn. and five sisters, Bernadette and Dave Wabner of Waseca, MN, Martha and John Cox of New Richland, MN, Berty Johns of Colorado Springs, CO, Becky and Mike Lykens of Colorado Springs, CO and Shannon Winkler of Colorado Springs, CO. She is preceded in death by her Son, Eric Keehn and her Father, Willis Winkler.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Daybreak-An Adult Day Program at PO Box 4777, Woodland Park, CO 80863. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the ICU Staff at Penrose Hospital and also Pikes Peak Hospice. Mary Ann will remain in our hearts forever.
