Patricia Ann Miller
Born February 1st 1946 – Died January 1st 2020
Patricia Ann Miller was an inspiration to many! She was one of 10 children born to her parents Frances and Ellis McKnight.
Survived by her two children Jennifer (John) & Kevin (Donie). Three Granddaughters, Lacey (Chris), Kimberly (Jason), Dakota and four greatgrandchildren, Taylor, Cassidy, Lillian & Braxton.
She married Marvin E. Miller in 1972 and lived a fantastic life together until his death in 2012. Together they lived a very fulfilling life of raising their children, grandchildren, spoiling the great grandchildren and more than 150 foster children throughout the years. She was very involved and recognized in the community and foster system in Salida, Co. Nothing made her happier than the accomplishments of her family and foster grandchildren. She was always the cheerleader, cheering on the sidelines, and would do anything she could to help any of us on our way to success; whether that be careers, relationships, education... Our life goals.
She loved spending time with family, FISHING, caring for animals and working. She was a very hard worker and took great pride in that. Growing up as a military brat, she was strict and regimented but once the chores where done, she made sure to have a little fun. She was a “hands on” mother, grandmother, great grandmother and foster grandma and made sure to show us all the fun side of her, once the work was done, of course!
Mom, grandma, great grandma, foster grandma... You are sorely missed! You were a pillar in our lives and we will do our best to continue to shine your bright, amazing light through all of us and everything you taught us. Go catch those fish with grandpa and send us your fishing luck! God knows, We ALL need it! Until we see you again.
