Roberta Sophia Rodriguez tragically lost her life on June 25th, 2019. She accidently fell into the South Fork River while admiring its beauty. She was born April 22, 1982 in Colorado Springs to Robert (Bob) and Josie Rodriguez. Berta (as she was known) attended Helen Hunt Elementary, North Middle School and graduated from Palmer High School (by the skin of her teeth) in 2000. Berta loved all types of music, Mexican food, Lowrider cars (especially her ’62 Bel-Air) and the Dallas Cowboys. Her hobbies included making pillows, putting puzzles together, playing quarter machines and secondhand store shopping.
Berta was a mother, daughter, sister, auntie, niece, cousin and a friend. She loved her family, her children, her friends and living life. Berta was a giver who would give the shirt off her back to anyone who needed it. She had a kind heart, a beautiful smile and a charismatic personality. She will be missed greatly by all who knew her.
She leaves behind a family. Her parents, Robert (Bob) and Josie Rodriguez; children, Isaac Joseph, Vincent Abram, Lilianna Ranae and Julian Rodriguez; the father of her children, Jeremy Medina, sisters, Julie & Christopher Skufca and Gina & Jerom Vasquez; the Wiebe Family; grandmother, Juanita Lopez; nieces and nephews, Corina and Aiden Skufca, Raina, Robert and Gabriel Vasquez; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends she considered family. She will be greeted in Heaven by her fiancé Scott Wiebe; grandparents, Jose and Guadalupe Rodriguez; grandfather’s Alfonso Rodriguez Sr. and Rojelio Lopez; niece Noel Skufca and Brian Vasquez.
