Wallace J. GaberOctober 7, 1934 ~ November 13, 2018 (age 84)
Lt. Col. Wallace J. Gaber, USAF (Ret.) known to friends as "Wally," passed away on November 13th, 2018 at the age of 84. A native of Rhinelander, WI, Wally attended the University of St. Thomas – Minneapolis, MN. In 1958, he began his military career in the United States Air Force where he met his bride, Rose and they wed in June, 1960. After retiring from the Air Force, he began his real estate career in Colorado Springs in 1980. He was a devoted servant to the Catholic community at Peterson Air Force base chapel for many years. His stewardship included teaching the CCD program, Eucharistic Minister, and Knights of Columbus. Wally was an avid golfer, bowler, and hunter. He was a devoted husband and loving father who will be missed by his family. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Rose; adult children, Theresa, Chip, Steve, Ann Marie, Katie, and Christy; 12 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He is also survived by siblings, Gene, Dale, Roger, Ron, and Sister Delia.
