Obituary

Alfred Paul Schmidt, 82, passed in Colorado Springs January 9, 2022. He was born July 29, 1939 in Newton, KS to Albert & Alma Schmidt. He was raised in Newton and entered the Marine Corp right after high school. He service 1959-1963, discharging in Denver, CO. He met his wife, Marlene, in Madison, NE and they married September 6, 1969. They moved to Seattle, WA then retired in Colorado Springs. He loved spending time with his family and was involved with his church.

He will be greatly missed by his loving wife and son, Douglas. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Julia, and a brother, Armand. Other close family was Elizabeth Bugg, Richard Biedebach, Doris Wimpress, Virginia Payer, Orville Schmidt, Robert Schmidt and Jane Hoppenworth.
