Alison Leeann Cantrell, a Colorado Springs resident, was taken from us much too soon on March 15, 2021. She was born April 19, 1987 in Ventura, CA.
According to her mother, “She didn’t learn to walk…She RAN first!” Alison was a very kind, loving, caring and compassionate person, though she did have her “Wild Side”. She had a passion for Roller Derby, joining the Ventura Derby Darlins in 2007. Her teammates knew her as “Ally Crash” – a nickname she earned because of her slick moves and hard hits. But it was her “kind soul” and “selflessness” that made her a teammate for life.
Alison worked as a server and bartender at several Colorado Springs restaurants and bars, most recently Mother Muff’s in Old Colorado City. She was remembered as being super giddy and always being in a good mood.
She is survived by her mother, Genia Schuessler; daughter, Lilith Michelle Cantrell; brothers, Deven and William Cantrell; and her other half, Joey Sullivan.
