Charles Anthony Woudenberg born August 22, 1924 and passed away June 18, 2022.
Charles was born in Paterson, New Jersey to parents Charles and Nettie Woudenberg.
He was preceded in death by and joins his wife Claire Lenore (Rienstra). They were married in Paterson, April 21, 1948 and had three children; William Charles (Sharon), Thomas Glenn, and Carol Joy Zeller (Kirby); four grandchildren; Julie Dobbins (Jared), Sarah Woudenberg, Kory Zeller (Stephanie), and Evan Zeller, and great grandsons, Parker Andrew Dobbins, Everett Charles Dobbins ,Silas Lee Zeller and Rowen Dobbins.
Charles graduated from Clifton High School and enlisted in the 10th Mountain Division during the World War II and after winter warfare training at Camp Hale, Colorado, went to fight in the mountains of Northern Italy. He was awarded the Combat Infantry Badge and the Bronze Star for valor in combat.
After the war he attended Rutgers University and graduated with a B.S. degree in Business Administration and went to work for the Prudential Insurance Company as a Life Insurance Agent.
In 1972 he and Claire moved their family to Colorado Springs where they established a printing business called Academy Printing. In 1984, he joined the staff of the newly organizing Woodman Valley Chapel. There he organized the Christian Ed. Department and the Missions Program, and after much Bible study taught adult classes.
There will be a graveside service at Ft. Logan National Cemetery on July 21, 2022 at 2;00 pm
