Darryl Wade Rice

Darryl Wade Rice passed away peacefully on March 30, 2023 doing what he loved in the world, watching his beloved New York Yankees on opening day. He was born December 11, 1951 to William and Marry Rice. He was a longtime resident of Colorado Springs and graduated from the Air Academy High School. Darryl was a crossing guard for Academy School District 20 for over 30 years. His dedication to his responsibilities, ensuring the children arrived to and from school safely, was of utmost importance to him, and he truly loved what he did. Most will remember Darryl always greeting everyone he encountered with a friendly hello and a smile.

Darryl touched many throughout his life, and his friends will greatly miss him.
