Eric Franklin Baumgardner

It is with heavy heart that we announce the passing of Eric Franklin Baumgardner, 60, of Colorado Springs, Colorado. Eric passed away on December 22, 2022, after a long battle with health issues.

Eric spent most of his life in Colorado Springs, living just up the street from his childhood home. Although his parents Charles and Lucy have long passed, his two sons still reside in Colorado, in addition to a daughter in North Carolina.

Eric's last days were spent with the love of his life, Joy Andrews. The purest example of unwavering and dedicated love, she stuck by his side right until the end.

Eric’s hobbies and skills were many, and you could always find him tinkering with something in the garage or his basement workshop. Whether it was woodworking, motorcycles, or electronics, he was always busy and having a great time with all of his various projects.

Music was one of the most influential things in Eric's life. From a child he was an outstanding musician, and all through his last days he enjoyed playing and listening to music.

Eric was an excellent stage audio and lighting engineer for the local band "-itis" who will be playing a memorial show on Friday, December 30th, 2022. The memorial will start at 8:00 PM followed by a live show in dedication. The events will be hosted at the Union Station located at 2419 N. Union Blvd, Colorado Springs, CO.
