Geneva Lee Leonard, 91, passed away unexpectedly in Colorado Springs, Colorado where she lived. She was born July 22nd, 1930 in Grant, Nebraska, to Carrie Wheeler and Victor McCormick. She met her husband Merrill Leonard, whom fell in love, and married. He joined the Air Force, and she became a loving wife and mother. She spent her time taking care of her family, and was a devout Christian. She took care of her grandchildren, always quick to bake, or play Old Maid, or just sit and tell tales of our family adventures. She was a giving and kind woman who always had a listening ear and a helping hand whenever she was needed. Her smile would light up a room like no one else could. She had two sisters, Virginia, and Janette, three brothers, Dwayne and Garnie, but Dickey passed away from pneumonia at 3 months old. She had three beautiful children, Sherry, Merry and Garry. She had many grandchildren, Kirsten, Bobby, Caleb, Cody, Alex, Meagan, and Maddie. She was the great-grandmother to Jessica, Nicholas, Kyler, Zoey, Ella, Lincoln, Wells, Liam, Aiden, Ethan, and Noah. She was a great-great grandmother, to her grandson, Jesse Wayne. She was much loved and will be greatly missed.
