Upon retirement, Ward and Jan settled in Colorado Springs, CO but continued to travel in the US and abroad. Jan was an active member of her building holding many positions over the 28 years of her residency. She took up Billiards, Poker, Dominos, and many other new activities. She was active in her in community as well. She served in voluntary positions including Pikes Peak Hospice for many years following her husband’s passing. Her activities were admired by so many of her family and close friends who will cherish her memory at the core of their heart.
Jan loved her home and her adopted state of Colorado. She was the unofficial ambassador of the State and though her health condition dictated she would be better off to move somewhere else she refused to leave the Rocky Mountain State.
She will be missed by so many from Cousins to Childhood Friends, From Her Husband’s extended family to her Son-in-Law’s extended family, from her old building friends to her new building friends but most of all, her loving children and grandson. As selfless as she was, she most definitely made a difference in so many lives!!
