Obituary

Joan Loraine Ladefoged (Heilman), Born in Chicago IL on July 22nd 1932, passed away peacefully on May 30th 2022, in Colorado Springs, CO. She is survived by her husband of almost 70 years, Lyle James Ladefoged, as well as her four sons and spouses Robert L. Ladefoged, Jeffrey J. and Rhonda Ladefoged, Joel W. and Paula Ladefoged, and Mark A. and Deanne Ladefoged. She also leaves behind 7 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

Joan was active and accomplished. She was an avid golfer who celebrated a hole-in-one, as well as an animal lover who volunteered her time at the local Humane Society. Professionally, Joan enjoyed a career as a certified legal assistant, working as a probate clerk at the historic downtown courthouse, then assisting some well-respected local Attorneys all while raising four boys as an Air Force spouse. In retirement, Joan and her Husband lived seasonally in Mesa, AZ. 

Services will be held on Tuesday, June 28th at 11:00 am at Cappadona Funeral Home  1020 E. Fillmore St. Colorado Springs, CO 80907, with Paula Ladefoged officiating.
