Laura Elizabeth Mako
On the morning of June 12, 2022, after an intense ten-month battle with cancer, our sweet Laura passed from this life into the arms of Jesus.
Laura was born on November 8, 1986, in Colorado Springs to Alex and Debbie Mako. She was incredibly loved from the very beginning. Laura had a vibrant personality that welcomed all she met. She loved openly and fully. She and Lonnie spent fifteen years together raising two beautiful children. Laura’s children were everything to her, and she worked hard to build her own cleaning business to take care of them. Laura was artistically creative and gifted musically. She sang in the worship band at her church and painted much of the artwork in her home. People were drawn to Laura’s spunky attitude and big heart, resulting in a huge circle of friends and chosen family. Laura’s love touched everyone she met, from family members, to her church, her clients, and to everyone in her motorcycle community.
Laura was preceded in death by her grandparents, Stephen and Elizabeth Mako. She is survived by her husband Lonnie Lamoureux, children Cameron Mako and Roman Lamoureux, her parents Alexander Mako (Pam) and Deborah Baum (James), siblings Angela Mako-Hosack (Phillip), Timothy Mako, and April Kieu (Anthony), niece Miah Mako, and nephews Silas and Elliot Kieu. She is also survived by a large extended family to include grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and their children. She is deeply loved, and her loss is shattering to us all.
A memorial service will be held for Laura on Friday, June 24, 2022 at Restoration Church in Fountain, Colorado, at 6:30 p.m.
