Michael Lee Bratton

Michael "Mike" Lee Bratton was born on June 3, 1958 in Murphysboro, Illinois to Joan Frances Bratton (Miller) and Larry LeRoy Bratton. Mike passed away on January 5, 2023 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. 

Growing up, Mike enjoyed the outdoors, Boy Scouts, basketball and music, to name a few. Later in life, Mike found a love for BBQ.  More than 15 years ago, Mike, with his son Jonathan "Jon", formed Wild Hogs BBQ and started competing in BBQ contests.  While being an Ambassador of BBQ, he shared his love of BBQ with his family, friends and strangers. Mike loved spending time with his grandsons, watching their soccer and basketball games, taking them camping and fishing, and of course, helping them out in kids’ cooking competitions.

Mike is survived by his two sons, Matthew (Veronica) and Jonathan, his two grandsons, Mason and Elijah, his three brothers Steve (Nancy), David (Suzi) and Mark, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
