Sharon Kaye Holway passed away on January 19, 2021 in Colorado Springs. Sharon was born on June 30, 1942 to Milford and Mildred Larson in Albert Lea, Minnesota.
On August 4, 1962 she married Frank Holway in Albert Lea, Minnesota. They were married for 58 years before Frank passed away on December 5, 2020. Sharon was preparing to start the next chapter of her life without Frank, when she unexpectedly passed away. As they were in life, always together, they are now together once again – a true love story.
Sharon, Frank, and family lived in different towns in Minnesota from 1965 to 1978. In 1978 Sharon and Frank settled in Colorado Springs with their two children, Brad and Sherri.
Sharon and Frank loved adventure and travelled around the country working various jobs along the way. Sharon and Frank managed a storage lot in Colorado Springs for 18 years before retiring in 2007. In retirement, Sharon and Frank became full time RVers and worked as camp hosts in state parks in New Mexico, Iowa and Minnesota.
Sharon loved fishing, camping, and shopping at thrift stores. She enjoyed spending time with her friends, kids and grandkids. She lived life to the fullest and had an infectious spirit.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Barbara Moe; one brother-in-law, Allen Moe; and one grandchild, Samantha Mestas.
Sharon is survived by her son, Brad Holway (Donna), and her daughter Sherri Mestas (Manuel). Sharon also has four grandchildren, Ben Holway, Emily Holway, Sarah Mestas and Julianna Mestas. There are also numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews in the extended Holway and Larson families.
