Vada Darlene Hochstetler-Richardson born August 21, 1935, in Thurman, CO, was called home by her Lord and Savior, on December 22, 2020. We rejoice with her that she is now in the loving presence of her Savior, the one who loved her more than we did. Her strong faith was an inspiration to all who knew her.
She was raised in Colorado Springs, CO and graduated from Palmer High School. She met and married Virgil Lee Richardson of Dalghren, IL on August 22, 1954. Vada had five boys, Ronald (Cheri) , Michael (Gale), Gerald (Reine), Curtis (Renee) and Clyde (Tammy) Richardson. There was no greater joy to her than her five boys. Vada was then blessed with 10 grandchildren plus 6 bonus grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren and 2 great- great granddaughters. She is also survived by her brother Bob Hochstetler. She had a kind, giving, loving heart and would help any and all that she could. She worked at Loaf N Jug as a store manager, a job that allowed her to come in contact with many people that she could share her love for Jesus with by way of a smile and a kind word.
Vada was a lifelong member of the Mennonite Church. A Celebration of Life service for her will be held on Saturday, February 27, 2021 at 11am at the Colorado Cowboys For Jesus Church.
