Xavier Ewing, 21, joined the heavenly angels on September 4, 2020 at Grandview Hospital in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Xavier was born on June 27, 1999 at Fort Hood, Texas. He was a graduate of Air Academy High School Class of 2019.
Xavier is survived by His mother, Nydia and father, Lawrence Kershaw, of Colorado Springs. His brothers, Lawrence Jr., Aden, Noah and Stephen Jr; sisters, Alecia and Sa’Niya, God-parents, Scarlet and Correy Harris; God-sisters, Jasmine and Jaidyn and God-brother, Correy Jr. of El Paso, Texas; Dad, Stephen Ewing of Orlando, Florida; Maternal grandparents, Dale Sampson of Columbus, Georgia, Maybelline Sampson of Lawton, Oklahoma, and Paternal grandmother, Deborah Kershaw of New Haven, Connecticut; Uncles, Jamal, and Troy; Aunts Aleisha, and Cassie; countless great aunts, uncles, cousins, and many great friends.
Xavier is preceded in heaven by his great-grandmother Katie Mae Sampson, great-grandfather Lesley Sampson, grandmother Hazel Griffith, Great-Aunt Raselean Brayboy, and cousin Marcus Sampson, who we know welcomed him with heavenly arms.
Xavier was one of the funniest, bravest, strongest souls. He surpassed every obstacle ever placed in front of him. He enjoyed music, singing, dancing, playing basketball and video games. He loved being with family and friends. Xavier was always the life of the party and loved to have a good time. His personality was truly infectious.
Xavier, we love you baby! We are so proud of what you accomplished in your short time on Earth. You were born with the power that made people gravitate toward you. You never complained and loved whole heartedly. Those who knew Xavier, even for a minute, lost a shining light in their lives, but heaven gained the brightest star. Xavier, we know you will, continue to shine your light from above.
On 4 September 2020 at 12:17 p.m. Xavier left this life unexpectedly. The memories we have of him will always be dear to us. We rejoice because we know that he has gone home more handsome than we have ever known. For now, he rests in the arms of the Lord.
